The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is a great option for those looking for an affordable robot vacuum and mop. It has a great mopping performance but lacks some of the features of its more expensive counterpart.

In tests it was able to eliminate pet hair and dry oats out of carpets with a medium pile. It doesn’t use LIDAR, however, as cheaper models do, to map your home.

1. Roomba S9+ from iRobot

The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is among the most highly-rated robots. It comes with a variety of features and impressive cleaning power, such as the dirt compartment integrated into the base of charging. The robot will learn your habits of cleaning, and suggest automatic schedules that will give you an effortless cleaning experience.

The setup process is simple thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the procedure. Once the system is setup it can begin automated cleaning with a single button click. You can select the general clean option, which prioritizes the removal of larger debris such as rice and cereal. You can also choose two mappings to ensure that your entire home is completely cleaned.

This robot vac performs well on both floors that are bare and carpet with a low pile. It can remove pet hair and clean big objects up. It doesn’t lose its suction as fast as some other robot vacuums. It has a difficult time with high-pile or plush carpet, but iRobot promises it will get better with the next models.

The S9+ features a new design from iRobot, which concentrates on enhancing edge and corner cleaning. It’s the first Roomba to adopt a flat-fronted D-shaped design, which will allow it to be able to swaddle furniture and walls. It’s a significant improvement over hockey puck-shaped robovacs that are common however we found it to be only marginally superior to circular models.

iRobot claims that the S9+ also comes with a superior filtration system which blocks micro-sized particles and allergens from circulating in your home. We think it’s a nice claim, but not enough to justify a premium price.

Its smart navigation system employs sensors that keep track of your home’s layout, and vSLAM technology to map your interior. This allows it to steer clear of obstacles like staircases and other barriers, and to tidy up your whole home efficiently possible. The iRobot Home app lets you manage the dyson robot vacuum and plan cleaning times, and set up virtual boundary markers, so that it can recognize areas that need extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

Roborock Q Revo is a robotic that is a combination of mopping and vacuuming. Its vacuum settings are as good as those found on more expensive models. And its mopping system is superior – its spinning pads scrub your floors much better than the vibrating pads.

The only drawback is that it does not have a second rubber brush for more thorough cleaning, but it’s a small cost to pay for if you are looking for one of the top robots available. The dust tank on the robovac is larger than its competitors, and filling it up takes only two or three cycles, even when you’ve got a lot of dirt.

As for the mopping system, I was impressed by its ability to scrub hard dirt off my floors. The two lowest mopping settings which are less powerful than high-powered ones, create little noise, so you can work or watch TV without being distracted. If it comes across an object, such as a wall or furniture piece it gently smacks into it and moves forward.

What really distinguishes the Q Revo apart is that it’s designed to operate almost completely on its own, with no need for human intervention. The robo-vac comes with a multi-function dock that automatically transfers physical garbage into the bin hidden from view and cleans and drys the mop pads, and refills its clean water tank. The app will only inform you when something is not right for example, a low clean water tank or a canceled vacuuming session due to the bin being full.

You can also combine or create rooms to personalize the way Q Revo treats your home. This feature is beneficial when you have different flooring in different areas of your home or when you have to frequently remove clutter, such as clothes, toys and books. The robot vacuum is also efficient and was one of the top performers in my tests, picking up debris from carpets as well as hardwoods on the first pass. It can even vacuum up wet spills. I recommend drying them with a towel before sending it in.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni has all of the features you’d expect from a top-quality robot vacuum and mop and more. Like the iRobot Roomba S9+, it has an excellent vacuum with powerful suction that cleans hard and carpet floors, and a rotating mop that scrubs tough staining. It also comes with an auto-cleaning base station that automatically cleans and empty mop pads, keeping them germ-free and ready for use again. It also features a new sensor system that is able to better detects obstacles, granting it the ability to prevent falling over furniture or other objects.

The biggest improvement over the ECOVACS the X1 Deebot is its sleeker, more modern design. This is thanks to Danish company Jacob Jensen Design, best known for their Bang & Olufsen product line. Although it’s still quite large–it’s more than two feet in height and depth and weighs in excess of four pounds–the entire robot and its base are much smaller than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot J7.

This version is more efficient than the X1 because it charges more quickly and can clean 1,500 square feet in one charge. It also has a bigger, more durable dustbin to hold more debris which makes it easier to empty when required.

Finally lastly, the X2 Omni has a more user-friendly app and a voice assistant that works offline, so you can use it even if you’re not home. It also has an intelligent routing feature that allows it to clean specific rooms or areas of your home instead of following a set path.

The Omni X2 Omni has the best mopping performance of any robot we’ve tested thanks to its mop pads rotating to clean tough stains away and a motor that generates plenty of downward pressure. The vacuuming capabilities are also top-notch, and it boosts suction when it senses carpets to ensure thorough cleaning. It comes with a huge, rechargeable battery that lasts up to seven days. The mopping mode of the robot is also extremely effective.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a premium model that has a range of convenience features not often found on robots of this price. It has the ability to create precise floor maps, recognize different flooring types, and it’s one of the few to automatically wash and dry the mop pads. These are nice features however they can make the L10s more of a luxury category. This could make it more expensive than what homeowners would need.

The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaning machine. It is tall and slim and has a white-colored finish accented with silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine is dominated by a huge bumper that helps protect furniture and vacuum cleaners from damage when moving around the home. Sensors are hidden behind the front pane which help the L10s Ultra navigate around tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top of the vacuum, there is a single button which serves as an on/off switch. This button will activate the vacuum. If you click it again, it will turn it off and send it to its base station. The center of the control panel is a circular menu that lets you select cleaning modes as well as schedules and preferences. The left and right buttons allow you to access the settings in the app, which allow you to customize how the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.

The L10s Ultra, like the iRobot Roomba S9+ or Roborock Q Revo uses a combination LIDAR and cameras-based navigation technology to map out your home. This helps the robot clean and mop efficiently, without getting stuck. The LIDAR also helps the robot vacuum detect and avoid obstacles which is a great feature for households with pets or children.

The L10s Ultra is an extremely powerful vacuum cleaner, removing 98.4% debris from our test on hard floors and getting rid of all but the most stubborn juice staining. Its mops are efficient, removing 98.4 percent of the debris that was found on our wood, tile, and carpet tests. However, it wasn’t as effective in removing sand from the floor or quaker oats on the carpet.
